I figure, if i'm gonna spend a hundred bucks on shoes, they better have nomex in them..
Speaking of which, I need to get some Converse shoes. The ultra thin generic ones my wife bought me killed my feet walking around the paddock. I've heard great things about the old Converse for open track days, thin enough for good pedal feel, but thick enough for walking around and BS-ing with other folks.

Enjoying my XD .45ACP Tactical. need to break in my 870, and my wife's XDSC9.

I carry my XD45 ACP Tactical, in a SuperTuck from CB. Very comfortable, easy to hide, easy to draw, and easy to reholster.

Looking for an HDR*, either an AR-180B, or Kel-Tec FBR.

HDR, Homeland Defense Rifle

You mean the Chuck Taylors? (the 70's era high top basketball shoe made from canvas)

Give the piloti's a try, I like them so much, I have (had) 6 pairs. The ralleye is a fantastic shoe.

Is that why the military issues them in boot camp?

I dont wear Nikes too much. I got a pair that I've had for about 5 or 6 years. I do however have a Nike football, football gloves (they really do make the best ones) and my son has a Nike wallet. I dont think they are necessarily anti-gun just dont want fools getting nonsense on their shoes.

Not all New Balance is made in USA. When I was buying my last pair of shoes there were to very similar cross trainer type in the store. One was made in USA and the other.....Communist China.

I used to work at a Finish Line store in a local shopping mall. I spent a good deal of my income on the store merchandise. I was young, in high school, and really concerned about footwear. I bought a lot of Nike shoes and clothing. After I stopped blowing money on shoes and clothes I continued my loyalty to the Nike brand, primarily because they tend to run a little more narrow in width that other brands.
