That's awesome, I got pulled over in KY (where I live) before I got my CCW. I had my .38 snubby in my glove compartment (completely legal in KY). It was the first thing I let the officer know. He really didnt seem to care. He even asked me for my insurance which was in the glove compartment. I was a little apprehensive about getting it from underneath my gun, and I told the officer that, he assured me it was ok, so I SLOWLY picked up my insurance with two fingers. He took my gun back to his squad with him but returned it once he came back. I am from Illinois originally, its a completely different attitude down here.

Well, I can see why he took it... In KY they have the right to disarm you right off the bat, but it was just sitting in the glove compartment

Petro,
Did you trim your CCW permit? Mine is also issued from Douglas County and I trimmed it to fit in the wallet but it's really tight. I'm afraid if I trim it any more it won't be water proof.
Haha! No, I need to do that though. It's so big that I have to carry it in my other pocket. I can't believe I paid $152.50 for that gigantor card when the card from other counties (e.g., Jefferson Co.) is more modern-looking and properly sized.

This is why Colorado needs to standardize the look and size of these permits. But I'm guessing that won't be a political priority for a while.

Nope, I bought my first gun less than a year ago.

I'm happy it didn't take that long to buy the second!

Just wanted to point out that in OHIO you dont have to inform if ou are not actualy carring at that moment. Most people still do in a trafic stop as it shows up when your plates are ran. Agian, you only have to inform if you are carring.
