A few years ago maybe 3 or 4 a young child like 5 was taken by a cat in Colorado just above Idaho Springs. They never found the cat or kid.

The mountain lion population here is getting bigger pretty quick. We have a season that ends when five are shot. 2005-6 It took until March and most were in the western half of the state. This Year it was over in a month the last one was taken less than 20 miles from Bismarck.

Luckily we have had only one moutain lion attack in the last five years, but I wouldn't want to meet one without at least a .45 on my hip.
