One eye or two?

I am just wondering how many people out there shoot with both eyes open, and how they do it?

Anyone?

I shoot with my right (strong) hand and my right eye then if I switch I change hands and eyes. I only shoot my shotgun with both eyes open

I'm right handed and my right eye is my dominant eye, so I close my left eye when I shoot. Some people keep both eyes open. The choice really depends on what works best for you. I've met a couple of instructors; one closes one eye and the other leaves them both open.

If your gonna do any highspeed shooting, such as USPSA or some kinda steel challenge you'll learn to shoot with both eyes open... you see more... and you naturally learn to cancel out that "Double vision" thing that happens...

+1.

But for the slow fire, take my time line everything up and plink for rings, I do the one eye. Defensive or anything else, two eyes.

I see the front sight perfectly clear, target blurry but doubled, and rear sights less blurry also doubled.

I concentrate 100% on the front sight, Is this wrong?
