If you dont need NV then 512. It is AA batteries (cheap) and its 377.00. The reticle is the same for all models, the only differences are NV compatibility, battery, and battery life.

I placed my order for a 512. It was 377.00 There is a cheaper one than that also.

Very, very tempting.... but I'm certain I don't have enough in my change jar for one yet.

By the time I do have enough $$ they'll probably have something new out anyways.

What does the Night Vision feature do? The N battery NV model is under $400 but I don't know how much those batteries cost. I am really tempted by this but I have yet to buy the actual AR parts. I don't know if this deal is good enough to buy instead of completing my AR. I also wanted a TRL for my XD.

I say it's enough of a deal to distrup the natural progrssion on an AR build. Can't ignore the free TLR & shipping. They had my tracking number within two hours of my order!

The NVG feature you can use while employing NVGs. Otherwise that little red dot will be a bright white/yellow/green...oops now you can't see anything and a BG has the drop on you.

In reality, if you aren't ever going to buy a $1,200-3,200 set of NVGs, you will never need it.

If I were to buy one now, I'd go for the AA model (512 or 552) the batteries are far more common to other devices, and cheap.

I'd most likely also go with the 552 so I could mount either a magnification or NV monocular behind the EOtech for more distant or night shooting.

+1 on the AA batteries!

You can mount a magnificaiton device (such as the Aimpoints) on any model Eotech.

Man, it's a 3 hour drive, and it's eating me up! I want to go mount this stuff and do some shooting out in the desert. But I'll play by the rules and keep my EBR out of California.

With all the storms we've been having out west, I'm not even certain the roads are open. They've been closed off and on quite a bit lately.

Their is a gunshow in Reno coming up in the next couple weeks, I'll probably head up then.
