I feel ya on that! I can't stand shops that do that crap, but I understand it's a business too; so I take mine elsewhere!

Keep safe in Clarksville man. I was in the area a few weeks ago at APSU(?). It has changed, you are absolutely right.

How's about telling that to the owner.

Not in an offensive way, just tell them the next time you are in there.

That you can get it cheaper including shipping from another source.

If they balk, screw em.

Cannot hurt to try.

Thats the beauty of a free market. Theres no need to go on about how high some local gunseller's prices are. Just avoid him altogehter and buy somewhere else.

If he can actually stay in biz, charging those high prices, good on him. I won't shop there, but somebody does. If they think his prices are fair or don't care about saving money, well, thats their problem.

It does us no good to tell these retailers off and go on about how high their prices are. They know this already...surprise! They also know that many consumers are very lazy people and many will just come in, pay the high prices and not bat an eye out of total convenience. Retailers in every market make loads of money on this fact. Look at the new car business - theres no better example of poor spending and impulse buying that I can think of. Gun buyers are often cut from the same cloth.

Don't go off on a local guy that has high prices. Its not only offensive, but usually produces nothing but bad feelings. Tell him with your money...if he does not see it...he'll get the message. Vote with your wallet, I always say.

There are tons of high priced gunstores near me. Guess what...I NEVER buy from them! I went in, was courteous to the owner, looked at their prices and kept my mouth shut and bought the same stuff elsewhere for less.

Gunstores...like car sellers...really detest people like me, beause I am not their target audience. If you too are researching prices like mad or are a thrifty bastard (like me) by nature, ignore the high priced sellers and just move along.

Other than buying thier high priced stuff, the next worst thing you can do is tell them how high their prices are. You're not telling them something they don't already know. Why waste the effort?

i would love to support my local gun range and buy ammo from them.. but their all too high.. well Carters usually has ok prices on CCI Blazer brass, and sometimes WWB's.

but my local ranges.. the one i frequent goes to academy.. buys the $6 monarch 9mm 50rd boxes, and sells them for $11.99!
the other one closest to me.. forget it $10 for a box of 50rd 9mm, is just stupid, for $3 more i could buy a box of 50 .45, borrow my friends .45 and go have some fun with that.

i havnt found any place on line tho to beat what i get at academy.

cheers

Well, you're not alone, Boomer.

I like my Beretta 96 much better than my XD-40 Service. It handles recoil much better.
