My friends, you are seeing the end result of replacing “
JUSTICE” with “
LEGALITY”. We have endless “appeals” of a death sentence because a very select minority decided to question the right of the state to put hardened, violent criminals to death for the grievous harm they cause to innocent people. Under their concept, we should seek to “heal” these criminals, give them multiple chances to redeem themselves, have a “kinder, gentler” approach to them and their families. They claim we are violating the civil rights of the criminal if we use the ultimate form of punishment.

This begs the question of the rights these people violated when they committed the crime. What makes the civil rights of the victim of less value than the civil rights of the criminal? If we are to bring back the death penalty, lets do it the right way. Sentence is passed, and the verdict is carried out within 30 days. In select cases, the verdict is carried out publicly, not hidden away as though we are ashamed of the act. If I am sitting on a jury, I, for one, am not ashamed to vote the death penalty for the crime of child molestation, killing a LEO during the course of a crime, rape of an underage male or female, murder in the first degree.

Just my opinion on this topic…..and to HELL with the ACLU and their liberal chants.
