I talked with Doug, the owner of Vandalia Range today about maybe letting a bunch of us get together for a group shoot of some sort. Of course there is a range fee, but I suspect he would give us a good rate for the time. He also told me that they are working on a Springfield Armory only gun competition in March. SA has already expressed interest and will probably give a gun away at that. Of course I'm out of that winning running (not that good) but I'll still plink a few away then.

So, if anyone in our area is interested in having a little XD talk shot (not the competition, that is separate), PM me and we will start to develop the shot.

We do our plinking at Lauhorners but we are interested.

Can anyone in the area recommend a place for competition shoots? IDPA, etc.

You may also want to give USPSA a try. Come out to a match and see what you think. They run on the second Sunday of each month starting about 10:00am. The closest club is in Miamisburg: http://www.miamisburgsportsmensclub.com/
