They are making all CCW permit holders names available. What a bunch of BS.

Just click on the county name and see all permitted names.

Hmmm. That has the possibility to be very dangerous for people who have a CCW. This is going to do more harm than anything.

I think that is the intention of the list. Think about it, what other group of people in this country are subject to this treatment? Sexual criminals. Basically the same principle of the yellow star of david patch that the Jews were asked to wear under Nazi Germany.

I thought the same thing about the sex criminal postings... Makes you feel like a criminal right? I wonder how many people will instead now illegally carry instead of getting training and doing it lawfully....

Seems they have a poster boy "Steen" over there who likes to shoot down anyones opinions against the list, and seems to spend most of his time doing so with repetitive statements and biased statistics. I feel for anyone in SD.

How about if you are looking to get a job and your boss is ANTI? Perhaps s/he looks at the list, sees your name and then passes on you because you have a permit. Many reason why such lists are a very bad idea.

Or how bout you face my position. This is an article written by a local newspaper, i myself live in rockland county and have my name, as well as the names of most of my family on there.

Not only have they given the information that would allow anyone to pull up the full residential info for a gun owner, but they also tell people the best way to avoid the laws.

I am feeling like my home may be a target for a criminal now.

My only comments to this and I would post them on the other sight, but I do not wish to register there, are that obviously the state had a reason for sealing the records, so what right dos the news paper have to post sealed records.

Sounds like a yellow pages listing for criminals to come and rob the house to get guns. Sorry for SD.
