Very nice. I was out on the lake with my Jeep at Georgetown a couple of weeks ago.

That is a siiiiiick RX7. I love those cars and would love to build one. It's so hard to get big power from the wankle, so I do understand the LS1 popularity. I saw a vid of a 2jz swapped into an RX7 and that seems like an awesome idea. I say keep the motor japanese and turbo, but something with a little more displacement. But man, that is one sick sick looking RX7, very nice work.

WHat are the mods?

I'm glad to hear there is ice racing this year, I drove past the lake in January and it looked too slushy. I was worried it wasn't going to happen this year. It was really fun, but you definitely need studded tires. Those Jeeps with the spikes are INSANE. They sound amazing too, and corner like my car on dry pavement.

Lol jjay funny you should say that, 3 days ago I blew another 3mm Apex seal So shes down and out for now, Debating if i should fix or actully do the ls swap. I recently just lost my job so depending how long im outta work might make me sell some of them and my guns. This economy blows.

Speed, dont say you can get power out of a wankle thats rediculous. A two rotor on a single t88 or t78 will easily put 500ish to the wheels. a cosmo engine (3 rotor) easily in the 7oo's and now they have been doing 4 rotors which are now competeing with lemans f1 cars lol. look up the mazda furai.

furai - Google Search

Anyways she was running 340 rwhp before she blew, I have a track setup not ment for pure power or drag.
Single turbo td06
Apexi Power FC
Apexi power commander
Racing beat Mid / down pipes
Greddy SMIC
HKS ssq Blow off valve
Greddy pullies
1600cc secondary injectors
dual 255 walbro pumps
custom exhaust manifold
MAzda comp radiator
A whole lot more but getting tired listing sh*t =P

Sorry about you losing the job Standard things are getting bad and im so sick of my job but cant quit. I would hang on to that car as long as you can though. A local guy did an ls1 swap from a gto and it fit very well the car was ridiculous with the MS4 cam. I agree the rotarys can make some serious power the LS motors are just so fun to me tho the power band they have is awesome.

Yeah not to mention that when you do the ls1 swap it puts the car in a 50 50 ratio wieght. Awesome for a track or drift car.

I'm not saying they can't make big power, but like JJ said, I think powerband is important. I prefer smaller turbos and less lag. A T88 would probably take a very long time to spool in that car. I have seen the 3 and 4 rotor motors, and they are insanely awesome. Some guy has a 4 rotor drift car and it sounds like an F1 car.

If you want straight reliable easy power, LS1 is the way to go. I just like the car for it's looks and what it is. But it's all about what you want from the car.

The furai isn't competing with F1 just yet. That video is a furai body on a Cougar 65 ALMS car. It has a 450 hp rotary engine. It def. sounds like an F1 car, but F1 cars (in 2007) had about 950hp. But I love the direction Mazda is going, and they have been doing a great job with innovation for a long time now. Even the msp3 is a great car, and I hate fwd.
