You've been watching Nip/Tuck havent you? Fess up!

That's the point right? Most people suck at parrallel parking.

It is really cool. My lady and I were talking about this right when I hopped on to XD Talk and this is the first thing I saw.

No I was watching Fugitive Strike Force on the Discovery Channel, I'm a nerd. But it amazes me how far technology has progressed to where cars park themselves. On another note I went to the website and the MSRP for that car is 60-80 grand OUCH.

It does work but it is really, really slow to do it. You better not try it in NYC unless you want to get cussed out for 5 min. The good news is you can use both middle fingers to express your disagreement with his position on your parking speed.

I saw that one the other day. It seems like a solution to a problem that doesn't exist. I've never had trouble parking, or parallel parking any vehicle I've driven. Some folks act like it's the end of the world to parallel park. All it takes is a little patience and some sense about your vehicle.

True, but I see this development as more than just parrallel parking though. The guidance systems and technology break throughs are astounding. I imagine in the not to distant future cars will be driving themselves around on routes that have advanced ITS, which some cities are already implementing.

Great just aonther thing to break down on a car. Like all these safe features added on the car/truck to make them more safe. And people drive just keep pushing them to the limit and creating accidents.

Hell the low gas light don't even help the stuipd ones.

I can see lawsuits against Lexus for this feature. Someone is going to hit another vehicle using the feature and try to sue Lexus because they were dumb enough to sell it. After all, McDonald's got sued for selling hot coffee...

Well, I think he's right. In fact, it's already been perfected:

the commercial has a coming 2010 or something like that on it. I did a doubletake myself until I realized the 2010 thing.
