They have a little "stuff" left in them but it was a very simple rinse. They retain a little smell. I'm guessing the water will have a little flavor. We will rotate the water out sometime in the next couple months. I'll test it then.
AWESOME sight for watter barrels. Going to order 4 more end of the month. Thanks for posting.

The Barret M82A1 worked against the graboids, I better go buy one. I also need to go get some dynamite and C-4 plastic explosives.

i keep a DC/AC converter. if needed you can always stripa car or other vehicle if you only need one or are hunkering down. keep gas half full in both cars tank. plenty of batteries but rechargables are less to keep if you can recharge them at least a few times from the car bat. agreed that 100 rounds is to few for me. try to keep at least 500-1000 on hand. until i start reloading i would need enough to get by for a while. im also in phoenix and i am trying to gear up for a trek out of town to the higher country, how high would depend on time of year.

my wife and i have a plan to have three months food/water and then do some spending on HD. then Bug out Bags to last about a week. a good 4x4 and route over desert would have us out of here quicker. they did a simulation and only 25% could get out in mass evac. im assuming they arent considering those that might go so far as possible in a quick way on the roads and then turn of and cross country it. with GPS or just a compass it wouldnt be horribly diffcult if prepared for(terrain ect..).

and yes my family yhinks im paranoid. like i just went out and dropped ten grand on all the stuff at once. besides if you have food and water stored, after a couple days of no more of thier water they going to come after some from somewhere. if im the somewhere i want to be able to protect it, otherwise it does my family no good, it just makes us more of a target.

i'd rather be ready for something and get into nothing, than be ready for nothing and get into something!

no problem. Except your in CO? shipping probably wouldn't be worth it. Give him a call and see but you would probably have better luck finding them locally. You are suposed to be able to call your local bottling company but never worked for me.

Water Barrels

I found some locally. If you know someone that works at a food factory, you can usually get them for free. I have a family member that works at a Land-O-Lakes factory, and they get food grade barrels that used to have popcorn butter in them. Dawn dish detergent breaks up the residue and gets them clean.

My survival preparations are pretty lax, but I have stockpiled:

3000+ rounds of .223 for my AR15.
2000+ rounds of 9mm for my XD.
400 rounds of .45 for my 1911.
A few thousand rounds of .22

Other than that I'm pretty much unprepared.
