the above post reminds me of my hometown,
im 25 years, a college student, and hispanic, and everytime i get pulled over by DPS troopers they want to search my vehicle

Don't feel too bad...that type of profiling goes both ways.

I am a 41 year old white guy (in a Volvo, no less). The cops in my neighborhood pull me over because they know I will pay the ticket and I probably will not fight them or shoot at them. Easy money for the county...they get their money and fill their quota and the risk is lower.

Alot of minorities don't think "whitey" gets profiled...we do...but for different reasons. Sure, we may not get tasered as often but theres no denying that cops hassle us as well.

Didn't know that...did ya?

Just like the way the police write tickets for people with a beer in a park, but the homeless drunks loiter in the same place everyday and never seem to be hassled by the police. Winos can't pay a ticket so why waste the time? But yuppies, they're like the government's ATM.

true true, i believe everyone can get profiled, but in a town of 5500 people where you grew up, graduated, and are going to college is bad. Especially when some of the cops working in town went to school with you. The cops here are bad. if they see you even talking to the wrong person you are automatically the bad guy. i'll admit i hang around old high school friends, they arent criminals but they are bad, and of course i fall in with them, from what i hear going around from cop to cop i am a drug dealer or something along those lines. im just as law abiding as everyone on this board. I do nothing illegal but they still look at me the same way. SAD
