Your opinion on a picture

I'm the VP of my school's gun club. I'm making a few changes to our website right now, and I have a question for everyone. The following picture shows up on our main page. I've had several comments made to me that this might give the wrong impression of the club and might even scare some people off. The point of our club is to teach gun safety, inform other of the danger of guns and how to handle them properly, and to have fun. I'm thinking about changing this picture to something new, maybe a bunch of pictures from our shoots thrown into one big picture (I forget the French word for it.) Let me know what you think of the picture and any ideas you might have. Thanks.

*Note: I replaced the linked picture, so this is not the original picture that I had posted.

The anti's or some newcommer to shooting might be a little uneasy about it, as it is pointing at them (i know it's on the computer but still) and it doesn't show an average joe. To me it just makes me think of Law Enforcement or military, not an average joe club.

From what you have told me, I would agree that a collage(the french word you were seaching for) of pics from your events would be a more welcoming sight than the scary "operator" pointing his USP at you. Don't get me wrong, that's a cool pic, but I think for a school related gun-club, I'd go with something that is more accurately resembles what the club does and is all about.

I hate to say it, but yeah... it's a bit much. Not many people understand the real implication. It looks "violent" and "teaches kids to be better criminals". Oh no... he's wearing a ski mask, gasp!

Well that picture is property of HK-USA and has been a marketing picture they have used a lot. The guy pictured is actually one of the high level upper management at Heckler-Koch USA, its either the CEO or Vice President, I forget which one.

I wouldn't used it based on the fact its their picture and you didn't get permission to use it.

I agree. Some action range shots of the club members is always a good presentation (and recruiting method).
