OC spray

I was looking online today at different OC sprays to carry with me and wanted some feedback on what some of you carry and what you think is a good brand/series etc....i'm specifically looking for something small, not the kind "dog the bounty hunter" carries for large bears ...

Fox and Sabre both make good products (used to carry Sabre on my duty belt when I was working). The prison I used to work at used the cheapest OC the union would let em get away with, and let me tell ya brother, getting sprayed each year at re-certs didn't suck any less than getting sprayed with the "good stuff" at the sheriffs dept. Expensive or cheap, either way it really blows to get sprayed with; it has a way of taking the fight out of people.

Word of warning, some are less affected by OC than others (doped up or very determinded people): have a back up plan.

Also, pepper spay isn't something that's gonna stop em in their tracks everytime; hopefully it will "change their channel" and get them to think about something other than assulting you. And if they are still intent on doing you harm they should be less effective without the ability to see well.

NP bublar...

After taking my ccw course, I plan to use spray in a lot more potential situations than I would have before. I think there are so many situations that can be diffused with it, that it really makes it worth its weight in gold.

Plus I can carry it in many places I can't carry a firearm in.

I just ordered some DPS spray today. From what I have read on a few sites, this stuff is pretty nasty.

MaceŽ MKVI Personal Size Triple Action Spray

This is what I carry off duty, I also got one for my wife. She said the can was to big, but I told her that if she has to use it she will more than likely be scared and just continue pressing the button. So the extra spray will hopefully compensate for that.

From Galls
