Keep it? Nah....Google Image is at my fingertips. I was going to use it for Knight, but he's up in Alaska where there's not much else to do, so he gets a pass.

When's your next deployment? And where exactly does the Coast Guard deploy to? I thought you guys were exclusively local patrol type stuff.

Next deployment is sooner than later, we are politely asked not to give details... i.e. OPSEC for those who know...
We deploy all over this globe of ours, and have been involved in every major US battle since 1790. We (the CG) cover the globe with less active duty members than the NYC police dept.'s force. That's why we say "Big Job, Small service." My unit is all about Anti-Terrorism and Protection, little different than the rest of the CG. We have to have the ability to travel anywhere in the Cont. US in under 24 hrs... lets just say we are real busy.

Oh...learn something every day. I suppose when the name of the service is "Coast Guard", it doesn't really matter whose coast you're guarding, does it?

Stay safe chasing down pirates off Somalia or blockade runners in the Persian Gulf. (Just a guess.)

Neither friend, just watching the Unit... and replying during commercials...
I cant say until after we get back, and neither of your guesses are correct... not saying the Guard isnt doing just that, just saying its not me, not now.

Well, stay safe anyway. I think you Coasties are some of the most overlooked servicefolks we have, and most of the general public (myself included) has no idea how much you actually do.
