I agree that not all muslims are extremists. But there is still a difference between how your average christian in this country acts and the behavior of many of the muslims in other countries. Case in point, do you remember all the "artwork" showing the cross with feces on it? Yes there was some outrage from the christians out there, but they were able to have the show without bomb threats, death threats against the artist, or things along those lines. Christians are made fun of on a daily basis on TV but you don't see riots in the street. I will be the first to admit that many, if not the vast majority of muslims want to live in peace, but to say that the average behavior of both religions is the same is dishonest in my opinion.
Also, Fixxy was joking (or at least I hope so ), if it's fair to poke fun at christians, isn't it fair to poke fun at Islam?

of all the major conflicts in the world right now there is 1 constant. Muslims who cant get along with their neighbors. Just look at whats happening in Darfur where black christians are being slaughtered for being just that, Christian. I realize not all muslims are bad, but where are all the good ones standing up to these idiots hi-jacking their religion? I just dont see it. You come to our country you need to assimilate, period. Same goes for all of the Mexican immigrants...putting their language on everything. How's this for an idea: Learn English!! As the great Michael Savage says; Borders, Language, Culture.

Here's the thing people have to realize. You have a few idiots within the religion of Islam who then are used as stereotypes for an entire religion. For example, if the media only shows Mexicans committing crime on T.V., then the general perception is that Mexicans as a whole are criminals. This is basically what has/is happening with Islam. The media however will not show you those Muslims who speak out against these heinous acts, leaving people to believe the average Muslim supports these vile actions due to Muslims not speaking out against them. The problem is you have extremist Muslims who form their own unfounded views of the religion, and act out accordingly. Of course these acts of terror make the headlines, and suddenly the religion of peace is the religion of terror. Due simply to radical groups who have taken their own stance on the meanings of the Quran and the religion in general. Now all of a sudden Islam is directly associated with terrorism. Unfortunately those who will never take the time to properly research and understand the religion will hold onto these incorrect perceptions.

The whole Apple cube thing....silly. I saw the new store a while ago and it never crossed my mind it looked like the kaba in Saudi Arabia. The Olympic thing... i say too bad. You cant expect them to change the date of the Olympics just because it conflicts with your particular religious holy month.

Dude, they are getting pissed at a cube. You know how many cubes or square shaped buildings there are in the world and why aren't they pissed about those? They are just searching for another reason to hate America.

And second, calm down. Of all the religions in the world, Islam has more violent "extremist" than anything. They also have the highest rate of converts to extremism in the world. Your third paragraph by the way, doesn't make any sense at all.
