If I'm not mistaken and maybe I read the article wrong but wasn't the cop black? If so then why was somebody posting that he was white? The article also said he did not have a partner with him right? Just want to get my facts straight. Thanks.

You got that one right! Had a case not too long ago where the family of the guy the LEOs were trying to help claim he was shot with a taser. It happened in a supermarket parking lot, after the guy walked out and was falling down in the enterence. The store manager called 911 and the LEO responded. The guy got really upset with the police as they were helping him up and waitting for the EMTs to respond. They had to put him in cuffs to keep him from hurting himself. He was black, they were a white/black team.

The guys family claim he was tasered - there was no taser in the car and neither of these LEOs was one of the 14 in Rochester allowed to carry/use one.

All they wanted was a suite in court. Like I said - you can't win the law suite lottery if you don't buy a ticket - and there are plenty of bottom feeder lawyers up here just looking for a big payday (35% of the judgement).

Cops are pulled from the population; they aren’t manufactured in a training camp and breed to be a cop. You train to be one, we don’t make all the right decisions all the time and some don’t need to be cops BUT a Majority of them are good hard working peacekeepers.

Second: I love XDTalk!!!!! A cop topic came up on Glock Talk the other day and a majority of the people were dragging the cops over the coals. I even brought up “Innocent until proven guilty, but I guess it doesn’t apply to COPS”. Well I got dragged then for being a COP.

I love you guys (and gals) once again COPS aren’t always right but hey, let the facts come out before you begin to condemn.

Thanks buddies.
I think most of us are on your side. You pull a weapon on a cop, you deserve what you get.

I wonder what "civil right" charge they will come up with?

People alwasy complain about jury duty... but why can't I ever be on a jury for a case like this?? "We find for the defendant (cop) and order scumbag prosecuting lawyer to pay all fees and restitution" just my opinion.

yes thats correct. When I said there was public a outcry I was mistaken and thinking of a different case. It seems to happen so much around here I get confused.

Even if they'd had tasers, they could download the usage data to a computer and see if they'd been fired or not...

agreed. hit them back with a defamation of character lawsuit or something similar.

then again, I don't want good LEO's lowering themselves to this kind of scumbag level. better to turn the cheek and let the court throw the case out and leave the family with attorney fees.
