Man you are hard on yourself!

USPSA should be fun. I'm shooting tomorrow and didn't even decide what gun to shoot until a few minutes ago. (XD45 in L10 BTW)

Relax, slow down, and have fun!

And if you really want to have fun, get a wheelgun set up for USPSA. Think Texas star with 6 in the gun.
(I know-that's one round too many)

I too shot like Hell today. I had my hits, no Mikes, One D, however I had six light strikes and I don't know why. I put a lighter recoil spring in my XD45ACP Tactical and I am thinking it was too light and was no going into battery. That is the only thing that was different than the previos 1000+ flawless rounds. I will go back to the heavier spring and see how that works out.

Let us not forget that guys like Sevigny, Leatham, Hobdell, Jarrett, etc shoot more than 50,000 rounds per year. How many do you shoot?

Atleast you did not duck when your own spent case flew back! One time my CZ97B started ejecting every 3rd round directly to my eye, and I duck!
This was during a group steel shoot!

No-hits behind steel poppers at 35 yards. Certainly they wish to seperate the men from the boys!

So much of the game is mental that you really have two choices once your head is out of the game: shoot for fun or go home....

well, me, if I shoot a crappy stage and it just seems to be gettin worse, I usually get away from everybody and go to my truck or somewhere away from people for like 5 or 10 minutes and just clear my head... if you just keep thinkin about the bad stage you just shot, and keep talkin about it it wont get better... I seem to always come in 1st or 2nd in production (thats all i shoot since i gotsa 9...) and when I come in 2nd or less I'm always hard on myself, just can't shake not bein in first place lol :P especially when i get outshot by a supersenior by halfa percent
