holy jeez. That's crazy. "A turnpike camera was in the area but wasn't recording at the time, he said." Then why have them?!

My Wife best friend works for DOT right here in Florida. She's told me/us that some camera's are "Dial-up"still. Other's lost communication and they are on the list to get fixed (months)...Others are just turned off and even worst some are never connected.

Very Sad!!!!

The sheriff said today that the cameras are only turned on at the request of police, and it's to monitor traffic and that they don't have the capacity to record.

So much for the thinking of "cameras keep you safe". Cameras do two things, they record crimes against you, and they record the image of your attacker.

Drug Related????

There has been a lot of drug related arrests in this area in the last few months and the authorities are investigating if there is a possible link between this horrible crime and thosr issues. I don't want ot say more because this certainly could prove to NOT be related and saying more would infer otherwise. No matter what, the murder of 4 people, especially the children, is a horrible senseless crime. I hope and pray that those responsible are arrested and sent on a trip to visit Ole Sparky.

Be safe and carry always.

Glad I'm not married or have any kids. This is the kind of stuff that makes me relieved I don't have to worry about anyone but me. Sad, very sad. It doesn't have to make sense, it only has to happen.
