I travel that area with my family all the time, probably a dozen times a year at least. We usually take the turnpike north, and get off on the Ft. Pierce exit to hop over to 95. That is a very highly traveled area, lots of truckers, etc. What a shame this has to happen, and to a whole family.

My prayers go out to the family. This seems to be a very senseless crime and should open all our eyes to be more aware of our surrondings and the company we keep.

That area is like 60 miles from me. I would suspect that it is drug related...we have some wierd stuff happening here in south florida...always have...always will...
Very sad. On a positive note, it did spark some positive ccw questions from non carrying friends at a party last night!

Coastemac, I usually do the same thing with the turnpike unless I need to hit I-75 and I keep my XD45 right on the floorboard between the seats. Of course, I can trust who I travel with. Hope they soon find the POS that did that to those folks and fry his a$$ good.
