Class...it's dead
I am simply venting here on the lack of class in professional sports. I know this is nothing new, but I watched my taped fight of Shamrock vs. Ortiz, and it struck me that many of the new athletes do not realize the gift they have been given. There are people like "A-Rod" and Derek Jeeter that emphasize my point. What happened to winning with style and losing with pride? I am sick of the show boating ass hats that are sadly many of the great athletes of today. Do they not realize that they are role models for the younger generations? It seems that the only athletes that ever show any respect for their peers are the ones that have been in the game for a long time and are getting ready to retire. Payne Stewart is an example of someone that I long to have back in the world of professional sports. He played with a style that is dying...that of the true sportsman. Like they say, "nostalgia ain't what it used to be." Does anyone else feel this way?

Well, Tito Ortiz won again, and did the biggest bunch of bull$#!! showboating I've seen in a while. It's one thing to celebrate winning, but another to go that bull. I can't really describe it, but just about everyone in the octagon got on is butt for it. Why that came to his mind, I can only guess.

tito beat shamrock with in a inch of his life and after he won he looked at shamrock and said F*** You, but I not know their story I do know they did not like each other. Tito did this in the heat of the fight and madeup with shamrock and said he was sorry for actions earlier. So I give him a pass. T.O. is something else.

I recall someone saying about scoring a TD that you should act like you have been there before and will be again.
There is no dignity and this they pass on to the kids!

I thought Ortiz was washed- up? The cage isn"t smackdown so the punk routine makes Ortiz look like a Dick. I know you have to be psyched to do that stuff but after the fight you gotta respect the opponent, even Tyson did that, well mostly. Yeah it's to bad a lot of pro sports is absent with sportsman ship. I agree, what happened to the "class act". It's always cool to see, but it's mostly in a Disney movie nowdays. Maybe not that bad yet

Pro football is turning into the WWF!!!! All this crap with these dances and celebrations is crazy. Your team is down 42-3 but you jump around like a fool because you made a sack on a 3rd string QB with a backup lineman against you.
It is all about your exposure now!! Chris
