If you own a timer, it is best to always have a ziploc baggy in your range bag, in case it rains. This is a common practice regardless of the brand of timer you own.

i own a clubtimer II and it works fine i didnt see any need for III as my old one still works good.

I did some research on Timers. Maybe this will help out its a bit dated but still a good read and ideas what to look for in a timer.
