It's simple--after working with Windoze all day we need to destroy things!

I'm a computer nerd, too... just a different flavor. Any computer/electrical engineers in the house? Embedded systems people like to shoot, too! I know of at least 6 other engineers at my university personally that enjoy shooting as well (though they're not all ECE's... some mechanical engineers, too).

I am not sure what your asking, but I was a Crytologist in my past life and recently retire after being a founding member Of Dell's Advance Systems group and havng sat through many Enterprise Product requirement/Design/Marketing SKU's. More over I help design HPCC and I'm still consider a Subject Matter expert in all Storage (SAN/NAS/iSCSI/FC//etc.), I.T Security, Biometrics and RFID with a a concentration on very large Enterprises (More than 15000 nodes and up). I;ve developed more than 76 HVA 4 class systems and 2 HVA 5's....I now have holdings in a small Dev. co and continue to do "Consulting jobs with my Premier customers in a specific vertical (helathcare) and Yes I love shooting!!!! I find it wierd here that theres a lot of "geeks" with guns.

I graduated with a degree in ECE, but I work in IT. Go figure. I liked embedded systems, though, and if nothing else... at least I can make some pretty fun projects in my spare time now.

I think it is logical that a large percentage of xd talk members are related to the computer industry in some way shape or form. It is a website forum afterall. Probably a lot of XD owners out there they don't have computers but we don't hear from them hear do we .

I'm a typical redneck gun owner, so I have to say that "you're welcome" for me keepin' it real!

It is neat that a bunch of computer guys dig guns, though. I'd imagine you guys can afford nicer guns than me, too, which is both cool and heartbreaking all at the same time.
