Self Defense Shooting in Downtown Seattle (Update)

It looks like there was a self defense shooting in downtown Seattle today. They say the shooter had a carry permit and have no plans to charge him.

Interesting that most of the news stories did not ID the BG as a victim.

There was recently a similar incident in my town with no charges brought against the law abiding citizen that was defending himself and his property. Score another one for the good guys.

+1 to this....

If you're going to attack random men and women on the street be prepared to get a belly full of lead.

If true once all the facts are known, this is a good thing.

Bad that a wacko went ballistic, good that a citizen legally carrying could defend themself without persecution.

I don't like the way seattle times says it in the beginning, like its scandalous that the guy who did the shooting is walking around free.
I guess thats another less crazy person in seattle.
Lotsa wierd folks there, lotsa bums.

It sounds like it was a good shoot. It'll be interesting to see what, if anything, happens to the shooter. I just feel bad for the shooter because now he has to deal with killing a person. I hope he does OK.

As for the jerk that got shot... he got what he had coming.

Police said they were withholding his name as a crime victim — of the assault.
Interesting how the Seattle Times states that. Like it's a surprise or something that someone could still be the victim even though they shot their attacker. The other three reporters seem to feel the that there's nothing questionable about the story.

The guy was probably mentally ill. If that's the case, I feel sorry for him. But the shooter did what he had to do to protect himself.
