It looks like if the police had responded to the complaints 30 minutes before the shooting then the deranged man could have been dealt with by law enforcement and the citizen would not have had to shoot him. It certainly looks justifiable from all the evidence. I would take the police to task though on their nonresponse to the complaints although they were there seconds after the shooting.
