Guns online? Where else to look?

Well, no one around here carries the guns I'm looking for, or at least a couple of them. I've been looking around on the Internet trying to find cheap(er) prices, and all I really know of are: Buds, Gunbroker, and Gunsamerica. What else is there? I've heard of CDNN, but they sell primarily used guns, right? What all do you fellers use?

This one's got quite a selection. No experience with them though.

Quick question. I looked for an answer on an official state website but ran into lots of dead ends. When buying a gun online (From Nebraska to Iowa in my case) do you ever pay sales tax? My FFL says yes, obviously I don't want to because the auction I bought from said neither party collects sales tax. I think my FFL is just being an asshole. Can anyone find any official documents on this? Otherwise I'll just take the hit and never buy anything from or through him again.

I didn't think ANYTHING you buy on the internet is taxable unless the sale is within the same state. If I order something online from any state but my own, then it's not taxed.

Not sure if that applies with guns too, but why not?

No, not unless your state says you have to. Call them, give them your FFLs name and addy, they will 'EZ check" it. You pay how you want to,including shipping, your FFL sends him a copy via fax and a mailed hard copy. All you pay the dealer is his transfer fee and NCIC when it arrives.....simple.

So how do I prove to my FFL that he's lying and does not collect sales tax?

You might try Wal-Mart on rifles. I've heard you can get a pretty good deal. They special order and provide a pretty good discount vs local gun store. I haven't tried it yet but have read several posts on people who have.
