so this morning me and the wife were out side and i see this guy walking out front of our duplex. I watch him because i had never seen him before and just got a bad vibe. so about 10 min later my wife hears somthing outside and asks me to go see i look out and a cop has this guy on the ground and is yelling at him to stop resisting. backup comes and the guy is arrested. then my wife leaves for school and she sees a guy run out of a store and get into his car. two other men come running out and start beating on his car with a 2x4 not ten feet away from my wife in her car. need less top say she has finally put the purchase of her own firearm at the top of her priority list but my issue is what is happening to humans in general either they are ignorant "sheeple" or they are wolves preying on the sheeple. i don't get it, do they not repect themselves enough to be aware. i don't know maybe it is just here. anybody got some thoughts.

P.S. my ccw comes in the mail tomorrow and you had better bet that i will use it to its fullest capacity

In which of these situations would you or your wife having your ccw come in useful? I'm just curious.

I mean I agree, but even in a bad neighborhood, if you keep to yourself and are polite, people shouldn't chase you around and start beating on your car. When you're carrying, you also carry a larger burden and a greater responsibility than most people to try and diffuse a situation before it gets out of hand. Certainly if someone chases me to attack me with a deadly weapon, I'll do what I need to do to protect myself and my life, but chances are the situation wouldn't be escalated to that point in the first place.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not opposed to using deadly force if the need arises but most of the time that you see someone getting beat up or chased or attacked, they didn't exactly try to diffuse the situation. Chances are they did something to escalate it. That's all I'm saying.

I can apreciate where you are coming from deapee about the greater amount of responsibility when carrying but there is also the peace of mind knowing that if a situation does escalate out of hand that it can be dealt with, which i believed you mentioned. Yes I am playing the what if game and do realize i need to move and am in the process of looking at house but it is slow going. Yakima doesn't exactly have alot of options but hen again i just started looking
