Uhhhh, not quite. They are (illegal Mexicans) exploiting our system, getting money without paying taxes and ruining the US financially.

This issue hits very close to home with me, as my cousin lives and is "married" (not legally) with an undocumented-illegal worker/alien. Not only do they not pay taxes on the money he makes (her husband), but she gets all kinds of grants and money (700 dollars a month for housing, thats more than my apartments rent) from the goverment, because she doesn't work and as far as the government is knows, that "single mother with 3 kids" doesn't make any money, making her eligible for all kinds of benefits and federal/state/local aid.

So, she has three kids, all of which she gets money and grants from the government, a housing allowance of 700 dollars a month, foodstamps, free healthcare and aid PLUS they have the untaxed income of my illegal counsin "in-law" from working on a cotton farm. All this and they have a sattelite TV, Playstation 2's, all kinds of "luxury" items and you name it.

This is NOT just a consolidated case either! The whole "community" she lives in at the farm is all like this. They are exploiting our system (the legal citizens of the US) and my, make that our hard earned money is going towards them to buy nice items that I frankly would be able to afford otherwise if my taxes werent so damn rediculous. Taxes will continue to rise in order to provide for all of the deficit on "aid" to illegal workers. All they need is one kid born inside the US and they are home free. Its bull****. By the way, this community is in northwest Texas, hope there is an INS agent who reads these boards.

The operative word here is humanity...I don't ask where someone comes from just because they speak Spanish only, nor do I ask if they are documented...the only thing I care about is making sure these families lives are as healthy as possible, and that low income not be the determining factor as to whether your kids should go without medications. I make sure these folk have up to date vaccinations, treat chronic injuries and disease processes, and refer to a network of like minded health care specialists whose goal is also to help another human being, and not play special INS agent man. Just think what the alternative would be, and if you find that acceptable, than I say you need some serious help.

i happen to know lots of illegal mexicans that dont work and are just a drain on our country, so its nice that you know some that do but you dont know them all. i like how you're just openly protesting against the law, the matter shouldnt even be up for discussion. the law is the law, thats why they are called ILLEGAL.

....you are....if you knew ANYTHING about the law, there is nothing I do that is in violation of same...you, on the other hand, are a perfect model citizen....you never got a speeding ticket (traffic law), you never possessed and drank alcohol while underage (ATF laws), you never spit on the sidewalk (health laws), you never had sex before you were married (whatever laws they are), you have never engaged in a sexual activity deemed by many states as sodomy (see whatever ...), you never lied about your age while attempting to enter a bar....you are a real choir boy, aren't you...and you have a gun too....people like you are too scary.

I don't know if I'd go that far. I'm assuming he works in the medical field so you can safely say he is out to save the world. Nothing wrong with that.

However I wonder who foots the bill for these supplies?

I also wonder if my family would have gotten that same medical help when we were kids. Parents worked their ass off for us. We never went cold or hungry but there wasn't a lot extra when I was really young. for sure not enough for insurance. My mom being diabetic sure couldn't get any even if we could afford it then. So what about us? Just white trash or do you help out the poor (insert color here) folks as well?

I took an oath a while back to do no harm...I'm not saving the world, just making a very small, hopefully, positive difference in the lives of those without. Choir Boy thinks I hire illegal aliens and make money off them...I wonder where he got that thought? Anyway, who foots the costs you ask? Well, all medications are donated and/or are samples provided by pharmaceutical reps; all services are provided pro bono by a consortium of professionals, most, who grew up poor, before they were blessed with hands that can heal. We have a nice sized trailer that was donated by an anonymous benefactor. Local hospitals supply us with equipment, such as IV tubing, catheters, un-expired IV fluids, etc., when they change suppliers. We get anonymous donations, and yes, we sometimes get paid...typically an outrageously delicious home cooked meal, and on occassion, with cash, which goes into a kitty for someone who may need it. If this is outrageous criminality at its most agregious, then put me in front of the line on the way to a maximum security cell...
