Dell battery recall

I know this is a gun forum but you need your computer to access it, right? Dell notebook owners, check the following site to see if your battery is at risk of fire. Mine is and I just submited the recall form online.

Mine had a faulty battery. Just some heads up. Dell has done a crappy job handling the customers. When I did the order in early Aug, they said allow up to 20 days. At the end of the 20 days, they told me that they had no idea when the battery would ship since they haven't received info from the manufacturer on when they would get the batteries. By now, my battery would crash in less 20 minutes. I ordered a 4 cell replacement (which doesn't last as long). The next day I got the 4 cell and I got my original replacement battery. That means I spoke to customer no service on the day my battery was shipping and they didn't have a clue.

Dell's customer service went bad after they outsourced most of the customer support, if not all of it, to India. I'd rather not dealing with them. But knowing that my laptop might turn into a fire ball at any time I have no other choice.

We had two bad ones at work that I put the order in the same week that the recall came out and I've already received the replacements.

Everyone is missing something here. Dell doesn't make these batteries... so it's directly not their fault, although crappy customer services are. These recalled batteries are made by Sony, not dell. Apple also shipped laptops with these same batteries and problems too.
