Well....try looking at something further away. I had the same problem until the object I was looking at was halfway across the room then it became very clear who was the boss.

Dave: you're right -- i kept griping to myself about having to retrain using my left hand, glad i went looking as a desperate attempt to weasle out of that

You can shoot right or left handed without any problems, eye wise that is. Its a rare and very good thing to have no eye dominance.

That sounds mostly a trigger issue. I'm a left hand shooter and lefty dominant and if I don't concentrate I can tend lower and to the right.

I'm the same way...I basically use a Weaver stance, so I just move the pistol over a few inches to line up on my left eye. No big deal--of course, I haven't tried shooting a rifle in a very long time. That should be interesting.

It very well could be why you shoot low and to the left. I did the same thing for several years never being able to figure out why, until I found I was left eye dominant and right handed. Once I figured that out about 10 years ago I improved my shot placement immediately.

Using that test, I must be some sort of mixed dominance... a theory I've been considering lately.
