I actually wasn't very impressed with the video... most of that was from 6 feet... some from 12... on average most people are closer to 6 feet tall than half that so thats alot less than arms reach just after 1 step... the officers would probably have been better off just punching the guy in the face... at that range... at 6 feet away, once you draw your gun that distance is almost halved... and if the badguy reaches for your gun even standing still he could almost grab it without either person moving... i wish they would have had an actual 21 foot clip of him running at the cops...

everyone hears the 21 foot rule but not many get to really see why. At 12 feet your screwed. Even with a head shot the momentum is probably enough to still get you injured. This video sure makes it clear. Distance Distance Distance. No one thats a threat gets inside 21 feet without the gun out of its holster and in my hand. If I can avoid it obviously.

Being aware of whats arround you is the best self deffence you can have.

I just need to find a volunteer willing to be shot by my 340fps airsoft Glock 18 replica.
You guys crack me up!!

LOL, come on KOL, I'm not some hardcore Airsoft / mall ninja guy!

Airsoft for some force-on-force drills has some merit, doesn't it?

Just jerkin' you around man. You are cool now! I have about 12 Airsoft guns. A SIG 552 SEALS, and 3 Gas powered pistols. Others are all Spring powered. I have the Glock 26 that is full auto too.

I was also using Airsoft as "training" wheels for my son (same proper firearm rules, etc.), but now he's "graduating" to the real stuff. Just took him out this afternoon at the range on my XD9SC - he drilled a clay pigeon on on the 25yd berm!
