OK so $7.00/adult to enter and look.

Well the SA stuff was retail priced, and even after I told the guy that we would buy 3 guns right then, he wouldn't come off any of them by more than $20.00

My boss and his gf wnet ahead and bought carry guns. Beretta .32 TomCat and Taurus .25 nickel. I figure I can find XD .45ACP for $499.00 almost everywhere, and the tax was 6% so I would've paid more to boot.

The ammo was retail also. The GA Arms booth had 9mm 125gr for $80.00/500 or $140/1000.

The one guy in the back w/ the cases of ammo was $129.95 for WWB for case.

I didn't find any deals on what I was looking for, but another buddy will be going tomorrow to look at Ruger Super Redhawk 6.5" barrel 454 cassull for $469.00 used.

Sorry to hear it. Maybe if folks stop going, they'll get the hint. But the ones that I've gone to have no indication that they are decreasing in popularity. They have been packed.

The very last thing I looked at tonight before I walked out.........

SA XD 9 15 round mags NIB. had 5 of them(finally found some after looking at EVERY table all afternoon)

$29.00 EACH

C'mon already! I just turned around and walked out the door.......

I know people are there to make money, and SOME things don't have alot of markup or profit, but if retailon a gun is $539.00 and they are being sold all over the internet and other gun shows for $479, then something could be negotiated.

BTW, I was seriously ready to buy an XD today. VERY Seriously!

I did find a nice looking XD .45ACP Tac w/ nightsites but for $650. I could buy it locally and get TFOs installed.

D and I went to a gun show in reno, the "big one"...paid to get in and everything, and it was really nothing impressive. The prices, like you all said were retailed, and there were a few small deals but nothing to gawk over. It was a good learning experience if anything, D got to show me all the different guns and explain a little about them, and we got to fool around with AKs and AR's ...but....I wouldnt spend my money again to get into one of those, plus they talked down on us alot, if I remember correctly...PSH!

If you like the older military firearms, I would strongly encourage you to get your C&R license. You can then buy direct off the internet, no dealer transfer costs, and have the firearm(s) shipped directly to your house. I think the license was around $30, which is about the cost of 1 dealer transfer. The license is valid for 3 yrs.
