New guy on the block

Evening all, I'm new to XD talk, but old to shooting. I have had an XD-9 for about 2 years now. I work in a small gun shop in northern Illinois and have the luxury of having an indoor range in the facility. As we have a .40 cal Tactical in our rental case, I take my 9 with so that if a customer wants to make a decission between an XD or a (ack, ack) Glock, they can make an even comparison. I sold 2 XD-9's to a pair of women at the same time by doing just that.

I have had the oportunity to shoot the .40 tact. on many occassions as well as shoot a few of the customers .45- 4" XD's. I am impressed with the .45 and its very limited recoil on factory 230 gr. ball ammo. I carry a Springfield 1911 (slighty modified) when I am working there. I like to use both guns for IPSC and IDPA events that we have in house monthly.

Thanks for the great site to go to.
