You have an incredibly dry sense of humor--mysterious, difficult to read.

I approve.

Not ever having owned a electric dryer, do they also vent outside. If they do, Dave you'll want to double check the bottom of your vent tube where it comes out of the back. My wife had dried some rubber-backed rugs and a lot of that rubber broke up and clogged the bottom portion of the vent. That caused my thermal limiter on my gas drier to blow. While your under there, vacuum all that lint under the base of the unit. It's especially important on gas driers due to the gas flame is exsposed and can light that fine kindling up in an instant. I would imagine the electric heating elements could do the same.

Thumbs up Another update...

Well, after talking w/ the "pro's" at the appliance supply place, I installed my new fuse in my dryer today. I also cleaned out all the lint on the bottom of the dryer "frame/base" and off of the floor. I also double-checked the vent area in the dryer for obstruction. Then I threw the dryer on "fluff air" and went outside to my exterior vent to make sure it wasn't clogged. It was a little clogged, but not nearly enough to prevent the air from comign out. I dug the stuck-on lint out of the vent and the louvers. All is flowing freely now.

I've done 3 loads of laundry today, without incident. whoo hoo!!!

Thanks to all who helped me and gave their input.
