Holy christ that's worse than I get with my Camaro. (305, but still)

Yeah, a friend of mine has a 350, and gets 29 on the highway, but its geared so low in 6th, its turning hardly any rpm's. Id still take the STi though. I can beat him from a dig, or a roll.

Ironically, the TR, or even the WRX/Limited have, for the most part, the same motor. The STi gets worse gas mileage because of the tune and bigger turbo. Gotta pay to play

Dump that wing on the back and the STi will get better highway mileage.

What's an Sti weigh anyway - 3,400 lbs? I just checked - 3,350 lbs!

I looked at an EVO but told the salesman no thanks. He asked me if there was anything else he could help me with.

2 door (I don't do WR and I don't have to haul kids)
awd
300 hp
3,000 lbs
Under $30K

Gee, that is what I have now except I am over the weight by 150 lbs.

Look at the new limited STi coming out. No wing, and it might fit your specs (other than the 2 door). My stealership is getting 3, but they have all been sold. They were actually sold about 3 months ago. Might be something to look into...

no way is the limited gonna be less than 30k... even new non-limited STis are in the 30-32 range, and the limiteds are...well...limited. Which means no bargaining on the price because they are all gonna be ordered up at sticker price by the really rich enthusiasts.

Id say find a 2000-2001 Subaru impreza 2.5 (coupe) with a STi engine/drivetrain swap, or better yet do the swap yourself. That will fit all of your criteria. You could find the GC8 for 7-8 grand and then the swap would probably be close to 8 grand...there ya go!

the 06 Sti got a little fatter than the original 04--- the 04 is like 3260lbs

Ah, I hadnt heard pricing on them lately, but last I heard was around the 30k mark. So much for that idea... Its going to be like the Legacy Spec B was last year probably. The dealer I bought mine from was telling me she sold 2 Spec B's for 2000 OVER invoice, so, MSRP more or less. No way I would be paying that...

True, but if you ever ride in an 04 vs my 06, its a world of difference.
