new drink

A woman and her boyfriend are out having a few drinks. While they're sitting there having a good time together she starts talking about this really great new drink. The more she talks about it, the more excited she gets, and starts trying to talk her boyfriend into having one. After awhile he gives in and lets her order the drink for him. The bartender brings the drink and puts the following on the bar -- A saltshaker, a shot of Baileys, and a jigger of lime juice. "First, you put a bit of the salt on your tongue, next, you drink the shot of Baileys and hold it in you mouth, and finally, you drink the lime juice."

So, the boyfriend, trying to go along and please her, goes for it. He puts the salt on his tongue -- salty but OK. He drinks the shot of Baileys - smooth, rich, cool, very pleasant. He thinks - this is OK? Finally he picks up the lime juice and drinks it .... In one second the sharp lime taste hits .... At two seconds the Baileys curdles .... At three seconds the salty curdled bitter taste hits. This triggers his gag reflex but being manly, ......tada.....

When he finally chokes it down he turns to his girlfriend, and says,Jesus, what do you call that drink?" She smiles widely at him and says, "Blow Job"

As already said, that's a cement mixer (though the salt is a new addition), and they're a notorious "joke shot" intended to make someone gag and/or throw up.

I'm a bar manager/bartender, and I refuse to make these for people unless they're ordering it for themselves, and even then I tell them that they're responsible for their own cleanup if and when the inevitable happens.

Even worse IMHO is the Prarie Fire. About a 4:1 mix of tequila and tabasco sauce. This isn't a few drops of tabasco, it turns the tequila bright red.

Oddly enough, I have a couple of regulars that drink at least one of these every time they come in...

It doesn't actually curdle it, it just thickens things up.

Another drink that does the same sort of thing is a Dreamsicle. Bailey's and orange juice. These are actually pretty tasty if you drink it quick. It's the citric acid mixing with the dairy component of Bailey's, it makes it thicken, but it's not actually curdling. Lime juice works a lot faster than orange juice.

AHAHAHAHHA. Cement mixer. It's like when someone orders a "Blue Wave" around here. Usually they have to be told by a friend that the "blue wave" is one of your all time favorite drinks at that particular bar, and they make them awesome and that they should order one. Well, the barkeep/barmaid fills a beer pitcher with water and throws it on the unsuspecting victim . Hilarious.

Lol, that's pretty funny although there really is a drink called "blue wave" It's some really really cheap cheap sweet tasting blueberry vodka or something or other. It comes in a clear plastic bottle and has like silver luminescent waves on it, kind of like what they use on some fishing lures for eyes or kid's pencils. Anyway, that stuff is nasty but for some reason girls like to take shots of it, lol. I just wanted it to be noted, lol.
