Squirrel hunt (WARNING PICTURES MAY BE GRAPHIC)
![]() That's today's harvest... 3 big ole' fox squirrels. Yesterday I had no luck whatsoever but saw T E N turkeys, so that's kinda cool, at least I know I'm being quiet enough. Today I had a blue heron land about 15 feet from me because it didn't see me. It took off the second I moved though. Nothing real interesting to tell about the squirrels, they were all shot at pretty close range (I could have roundhouse kicked one of them) and all within about 20 minutes of each other between 6am and 7:45am. |

Those are some big 'ol tree rats! How do you cook them?
The squirrels here in florida are scrawney compared to anywhere else I have lived (Missouri, Alabama, and Colorado).

You need to come down to Texas. We are over run by squirrels. I keep telling the wife I'm going to start shooting them soon.

What did you shoot them with?, I have a Marlin 917V just itching to do some shooting. I used to shoot squirrels in Tennesse, not much of a challange, I would shoot one and another would come to investigate what just happened to poor old Chip, shoot that one and anotherone would come to see what the other two were doing on the ground. had to limit my self to one squirrel a day.
