The hangers are covered by some iron that is kind of pyramid shaped, really triangle, but I have to give you a 3d idea of it. So I really don't see how you could damage the hangers, because you can see where the things have taken hits and it didn't do anything. They don't want you shooting out of your lane to someone else's target and it will get you throw out since it is unsafe. They also don't allow you to draw from holster and start shooting, like quickdraw style. Other than that, there's no worries. I'd recommend the Patriot Firearms range to anybody in the lubbock area that wants to shoot at a nice and clean indoor range that is owned by a really nice fellow.

Now for the story: I was at the range right after I got my new pistol. It is a carry piece so I wanted to get familiar with it, and get used to the idea of shooting at a person or something shaped like them (I had never shot at silhouttes before that. So I started shooting and got warmed up, then after shooting out the X, went to town on the area where the heart would be and then the headshots. Apparently they have some female training class on saturdays because there was quite a few women learning how to shoot pistols with like .22's, .38's and the occasional 9mm. I brought the target back to mark my latest group and get a new silhoutte when the women looked over at me. It was funny because some of them were kind of really wide eyed, and others just kind of shoot their heads like I was a psycho. Anyway, I found it pretty comical, because hey if that's what that pistol is gonna be possibly used for, then I better be able to make the shot.
Hell yea!

I assume you are talking about Patriot Firearms? That is by far the best indoor range I've ever been too.

By the way, I'll be going sometime this week or next week.

I do a lot of shooting at indoor ranges here in southern California. They all have rules that make sense for safety reasons, given that there often a large number of shooters in close proximity and that a poorly aimed round can throw a lot of lead back toward the firing line. These ranges have concrete floors and concrete block sidewalls, so the operators want you to take enough time to AIM.

However, the operators usually will be a bit more lenient if they know that you are a competent shooter AND there are only a few shooters on the line. I often will go to the range on a Sunday or Monday at 5 PM just for that reason.

Heck yeah nightraider, I'm talking about Patriot Firearms. I had to go back and make sure that I listed the name, I did, guess that you missed it. I'm broke right now, so honestly haven't had the time to get into the indoor range for almost a month. For most of the summer though, I was there every week. I agree, it is by far the best indoor range that I've ever been to. I've haven't been to that many indoor ranges, but I'd seriously be surprised if many had facilities as nice as Patriot Firearms does. I'll keep in touch though, and when I get a bit of money and can make it up to the range, I'll drop you a PM. Hopefully we can get together and have fun shooting.

Now that's sad.....Knoxville, Tennessee's most popular indoor range will allow you to rent full-auto sub machineguns. MP-5, Uzi, etc. Any pistol round up to .50 cal or rifles using a pistol round are allowed.

The range I go to uses wooden close pins for their hangers I always manage to find a couple on the ground with a nice hole through them usually about 9mm size. I have yet to hit one though but I am sure if I did there wouldnt be anything left after the 45 acp went through it. They don't have any signs talking about rapid fire or double taps but I havent done it to find out either. They rent full autos so I am sure its a go.

I have only shot at an indoor range, the one in Riverside, CA. Magnum Range.

Double taps are okay, but NO RAPID FIRE!

It kinda sucks, but I still have fun!
