Can I just shoot in peace??

The other day I was at the range just shooting at paper to relieve some stress, there happen to be a guy there watching his buddy and apparently me to shoot, to make a long story short this gentleman decided to stop me and give me some pointers about shooting, ok no prob there (thanks). It became annoying to me when this guy began to strike a attitude when he thought I was not using his form and style of shooting "ok Rob Leatham", mind you I came to the range by myself paid $15 bucks for a hour of stress free fun but ended up with 25 min's feeling like I was in U.S.P.S.A. National Championships being coached to a victory. I thought to my self maybe I came on the wrong day or something maybe there was a class going on that I was not aware of and he has mistaken me for one of his students anyway's (Just venting).

something simular to that happened to me a while ago.. at first the guy was like hey whatcha shooting.. of course i had to brag!haha he had a glock..he said wow that a nice weapon.. i said..yeah the glock is ok. so we went back to shooting.. then the guy comes over with his gun waving it all around..im like wtf!!haa i told him to keep it pointed down range..he was like opps!! they he proceeded to tell me about the correct stance to use..im like hey man thanks for the tips but im here to relieve some stress..locked in this basement with a lot of anger and frustration and your telling me how to shoot..not a good idea.. have a good day.. i shoot about 10 more minutes.. the range guy comes down yelling and screaming cease fire cease fire.. im like wtf now..the range official asked if i threatened this other guy..im like no he kept bugging me giving me tips i told him thanks but no thanks..he told us both to leave.. im like you are kidding me!!i said no problem.. i walked back up stairs and asked for a refund on the 1000 round i just purchased.. he was like are you serious.. i said yes if im treated like this at a range i wont be coming back i gaurentee you that! i got my money back and handed the guy my membership card.. he said but sir you forgot your membership card.. i told him to keep it i would never be coming back.. so long story short don't F****** with me when im shooting! that is my time.. no buddy to talk to me or bug me.. Shooting for me is therapy, It helps me clear my mind, sort my problems, get things in perspective. It is not a time to talk. Granted, there are times I take my daughter or brother or father in law, those are special times in themselves, meant for sharing. But when it's just me, It's just me.

Well gentlemen, try being a girl that shoots. Your problems are minimal.

It sounds like more than one good story. I had a girl shooting next to me once. I just told her great shooting. All her shoots were A zone.

I don't give pointers unless asked. However, I find it degrading to my shooting experience when someone who doesn't know what they're doing sets up next to me and proceeds to unload 8 magazines into a target as fast as they can without any discernable concern for grouping or the fundamentals of shooting. It's unsafe, and it demonstrates why it's so important for gun owners to be responsible enough to learn how to shoot well. I find it just as inconsiderate as if someone were giving me unsolicited advice, but when they're giving advice, I'm usually not afraid of being hit by an AD/ND.

Paul, I wish everyone shooting next to me were more like you.

I just go to the range to watch the blood drip off my paper targets. Don't even care what color the blood is. Blue, green, yellow, don't matter to me. OH! I think I just scared myself.
