Definitely agree on #2 though.
I grew up the same way in WV and my children have learned that. We have the kid house on the block. I have every kid in the neighborhood in and out of our house. We will not take a chance on a child wondering into an off limits area and finding an unsecured firearm.

He must've been in a different line when they were handing out brains.

True, I never had kids around my house that often when I was younger, and when they were, there were adults, and the bedroom door to my parents room was closed.

Doesn't deserve to have a gun , let alone a gun light

If this guy can't identify a target, he doesn't need to have a gun let alone a gun light. How the hell do you possibly confuse a nine year old child, for a freakin intruder. I agree with whoever stated it that he was shooting at shadows, there was no target ID involved

I agree with USMCCaptain...a gun light just makes it worse if the guy is not capable of good decision making. Using a gun light to identify your target and the guy is not disiplined in trigger safety (not putting your finger in the trigger guard until ready to shoot) would make me real nervous. Chuck

How do you confuse them? Maybe he's got info that there's a midget crime ring going around in his area, and thought he had finally been targeted.

my dad had a cabinet that they were all in. It was in a locked room hat we generally didn't have access too but we knew without question if we ever went in there without him around we would probably never sit again.
