Yeah thats kinda the way I see it. I have a friend thats wanting to get his first pistol so we were gonna go up there and I was gonna let him shoot my xd then he could rent a couple pistols and try them out. He is 21 and trying to become a cop.

as long as he has his purchase permit you should be fine. Like I said, they've never checked me. But you know how that goes. The time you think you won't be checked, they check you.

I'm in Lincoln. I mostly shoot at my father in law's small acreage as there's a nice hill i can use for a backstop.
sadly the setup only allows for maybe 70yds max.

Hey, Jednp, just wanted to say thanks for letting me know about the Bullet Hole. We stopped there when we were in Iowa a few months ago. Really nice place, costs a little more than I'm used to paying out here, but it was worth it. We took the mother in law, and sister in law. They had a blast. Now maybe they'll quit worrying about their daughter/sister marrying a redneck........nah, they'll never stop! Thanks again

ohhh yeah... I remember telling you about that a long time ago. glad to see you made it out there. It seems like it's more expensive when you have 2 or more people in a lane. I can go there, shoot 30 minutes and I might spend $8. Me and my gf can go there for 30 minutes, and it seems like it's almost $30. But, I guess when I don't have much choice otherwise where to shoot, I'm kinda stuck with it. It beats having no place to shoot!

You have to be 19 to shoot at the Bullet Hole. I've never seen them ask anyone for their purchase permit, or show proof that they own the weapon they brought in. The hollow-/soft-point requirement is only for rifles.

I'm a Deputy with the Sarpy County Sheriff's Office. I shoot at the Bullet Hole, the department range and Hamburg Bend WMA. An SA XD-45 Service Model is the newest addition to my budding arsenal. I also own an HK USP9 Compact, an HK USP40, a Para-Ordnance P-10 .45, Mossberg 500 Mariner, Remington 700 .308, and a Bushmaster Patrolman's Carbine.

I could have sworn up on the rules on the wall it said you or someone in your party has to have that permit. Oh well, I guess if I'm wrong then it's better for him since he's not 21 yet.
