I donate to the NRA-ILA but you could never convince me to be a NRA member again.

Agree....but as one poster stated..I could live without the weird advertisements and wine club offerings. Nothing against wine...just didn't expect that when I joined a gun rights group that I would be receiving wine club offerings.

On which? The NRA-ILA or why I don't want to be a NRA member again.

The organization that has the most clout both politically and financially is the NRA. All other organizations pale in size and effectiveness. But I still support them - the 2rd Amendment Foundation, GOA (Gun Owners of America), etc. Every organization out there is not perfect, so if that's your standard you'll always be disappointed and support nothing.

i agree, the NRA is the group known by everyone, has the most lobbying power, so that is why i joined it. if for some reason you don't want to join the nra, then please join another one.

here are some other groups you can join

Gun Owners of America

Jews For The Preservation of Firearms Ownership

Second Amendment Foundation Online

The Common Sense Gun Lobby Citizens Committee For The Right To Keep And Bear Arms

with all the anti-gunners crusading to either ban guns completely or put more restrictions on them, it puzzles me why any gun owner would not pony up the small amount of money to join at least one of these organizations. the people who want to take away your guns are rallying and you should be also.
