Urgent ! Help needed
My laptop has gone insane.
Or is it just me driven insane by the POS windows 7 ???
I have no idea how, but the keyboard is now stuck in some sort of short cut hell.
If it hit "n" a new window opens
If I hit "b" the bold format button highlights.
It won't type anything. Can't log in, because it won't type. It does it in all programs. HOW DO I GET BACK TO NORMAL??
Help me before it gets hurled into a wall
Thankfully, I have this old reliable Winxp box.

Not a computer nerd but my friend who is always tells me that whenever something is f-ed up to do a restart first, then if it still is screwed to get tech help.

All the buttons "seem to" go up and down. I think it's a "feature" of Win7 to "help". I could wear my boot toes out kicking MS engineers in the crotch for all the "help" they give. It's probably some fumble fingered key hit by me. But which one???
The computer is booting now. That may help.

Booting seems to have worked. But I had to pull the battery to get the MF'er to shut off. F'ing MS and their "helpful" shortcuts.

If you can't find a stuck control button, try a cold reboot, a complete shutdown and restart, not a re-boot.
Good luck!
P.S., I love MS engineers about as much as you do......and I have some close enough for sniper pratice (just kidding on that last part)

My uncle's did that when his keyboard shorted out. I ended up having to uninstall the driver for the keyboard on the laptop so it wouldn't work, and he now uses it with a wireless keyboard and mouse. Which, for him, works fine because his laptop sits on his desk all the time, more or less acting like a desktop. Dont know of any way to fix it other than to replace the keyboard. I don't like to take laptops apart much just because things dont always go back together as easy as they came apart.
That was just the solution that I found for him. I'm not sure if theres any way to fix it. At least no way that I have found. If someone has a better solution, I'd love to hear it because it would be nice to get him back up and running without all the extra hardware.

Whoops! Complete shutdown and restart is what I meant.
