i think this is awesome! me and my USAF bud went to see her in the mid '90s and they said then that they have NO IDEA of how the rigging is set up or works and may never know it b/c no documention on it is around anymore. they also said they would tug her out every 4th July and bring her back in and change lee sides to help her out from yr to yr. and also there are still the orig GA Live Oak timbers under her too in some places (internal)!

look for it on your news...i'm sure fox news will show it, if she does sail.

Very cool. For an idea of what these battles were like, check out that Russell Crowe film Master and Commander. It's Brit v. French, but the fundamentals were the same.

Read the Alan Lewrie series by Dewey Lambdin. Good stories plus you'll learn about naval warfare during the age of sail.
