The town that you were born in can mail you a copy of your birth certificate. Also the fed gov't can mail you a copy of your SS card.
I got a hold on my background check for the first firearm I bought... I think it was a case of someone not so law-abiding having a name similar to mine. I haven't had the problem since.

According to this ^^ they say notify the NICS immediately that you'll be appealing the decision. Without your SSN they probably cannot tell which Mary Watson (or whatever) you are. Do a google search for your name & "arrest" and see if anything pops up. If anything does that's probably why you got non approved.

I don't have a common name. I have all my documents. I got denied because I did a error on the 4473 form. Than the 2nd time (same day)with the correct info it was denied within 3 days because they wanted to make sure I was in fact the real person. Thanks for your input.

Guys this happens to me all the time , randomly. I don't know why but as long as your not a felon and didn't get a "denial" , a conditional non approval is nothing to worry about , just a PITA

Yeah, a conditional happeneds to me every time and as I hear a lot of other people. Wait 3 days so they can check everything and on the 3rd day pick her up. Just alittle annoying but it is what it is.

When it happens (randomly does every now and then) , I walk outside the store I call FDLE , give them the control number -- and they tell me to go back inside , and that the error was reversed ...
