Funny this guy was just saying they were good sammiches...

Honestly...I go for the "value menu" items...instead of the crazy expensive "meals" (I do spluge occasionally..and boy does it cost me!)
Re-realized that yesterday when I got a Burger King #2 go large for lunch..and got like a handfull of coins back out of a $10!!!

You are comparing apples to oranges. Firehouse/Schlotsky's are sub places/delis. CFA is deep fried chicken sandwiches and chicken nuggets. I can get better at Wendy's, Carl's Jr (home of the BEST fast food chicken sammich), or even Burger King. All places listed have better fries too.

I will admit their nuggets are pretty good but other than that nothing on their menu is any better than the burger joints chicken sandwich options and they don't even specialize in chicken.

Zaxby's - Home

zaxby's is another 'southern' biz that IIRC started up w/a couple 4-5 GA Southern College buds coming up a chicken place fastfood joint...they too are doing well as far as the long fingers/chicken strips type deep fried chicken you can 'dip' into something and still drive with one hand, etc...then drop the honey-mustard in your lap or their zackby's sauce if you like it instead (i don't).

BUT, i still prefer CFA sandwiches though. and their Peach shakes are limited in the summer time too btw. i'm going BACK for a shake now...yeah! jerks, to talk food all the time and be stuck at work!

yeah and Wendy's 99 cent Asiago Chicken sammy has got to be the current king of the dollar menu right now. That is one tasty sandwich and for 99 cents there is no excuse not to get one.

I have like 30 closer restaurants to my house than them. I've eaten there twice in my life...most recently a few weeks ago just to see if it was any big deal. It's not. The only thing I thought was any different than what I could get elsewhere was the fries.

I don't see myself eating there again anytime in the near future. KFC's chicken sandwiches are better IMHO and they are a three blocks away. Cook-Out has chicken sandwiches that I like and also Wendy's has some that are better than CFA. CFA's is actually the most bland of any of the ones I mentioned. Not bad...just normal.

I like Chick Fil A. I always intended to try it but its all the way over yonder and other places are closer. I eventually tried it (recently) and its my new favorite.


I think wendys is nasty. even their new fries suck. the ONLY things wendys has going for it would be (and in this order) 1) the hot redhead in the commercials 2) the frosty 3) the spicy chicken and even that sucks.

not for nothin' have you had Culver's? I like that. I stopped in there last week probably the best burger I have had in a long time.

Wrong, but i did wonder if the 'Haters' would try to shut it down too even if we were talking food!? but really all this 'talk' of CFA lately and threads/posts gettting shut down all the time on here has really made me think about CFA a lot and i end up there A LOT now! i have yet to try one of their grilled sandwiches. i'm thinking mabye it's their bread/buns that also adds to the 'sweet' taste of it on their orig CFA?

as far as grilled, i think wendy's is pretty good. i see bonehead must have a bad wendy's in his area? (breakfast wendy's Paninis are FANTASTIC - that tomatoe just adds what that egg and bacon and cheese needs - yum yum; but that's off subject here)hungry again! damitman!
