Man Arrested at Ohio Dark Knight Rises Showing with Satchel Full of Weapons

Quote:
According to police in North Ridgeville, Scott Smith, 37, had in his possession a satchel containing a Glock 9mm handgun, ammunition clips, and three knives. He had an additional knife strapped to his body.

But I guess like some here think, I should wait until he's tried and convicted before vilifying him!

Or before people read a news article on PrisonPlanet and believe he was a false flag operative planted by the govt to stiffen gun laws...

I read a couple of the stories and there is a distinct possibility that no laws were broken. Certainly, the man is a total moron, but might have very well been acting within the limits of the law, depending on Ohio state laws. For example, in TN, you can carry a loaded firearm in your bag, which is considered transporting, not "carrying."

Again, this dude could have been going to the range after the movie and felt safer not leaving guns in a vehicle. I personally don't like having guns in an unattended vehicle either.

Again, large dose of "STUPID" but it doesn't mean he was up to no good.

You should consider the facts before judging someone. Otherwise you're being pretentious.

in Ohio transporting with a loaded mag is a felony unless you have paid your 2A tax and gotten a carry permit.

Fair enough...I am not familiar with Ohio law.

However, the fact that he just opened the bag for the security guard is a good indicator that this dude is just stupid and ignorant of the law. If he was up to no good, he would have started his shooting spree, if indeed that was his intent. This of course is purely conjecture.

yeah! ..............OR...

He knew exactly what the law was and was practicing well within it's reach as an authorized CCW citizen unafraid as he was allowed to.

That's a nice thought. Unfortunately all the articles said he did not have a CCW...So back to my "moron" theory...

Don't talk to the police, don't consent, get a warrant, my rights are more important than your job, etc.

This guy is dumb not not knowing the rules.

Could have just been trying to protect himself from another CO type shooting. He didn't have a CCW though so that one's on him.
