The CDC has been one of the biggest voices regarding gun violence for years. This is primarily due to employees and contributors like Arthur kellerman that used questionable agenda driven statistics to preach the dangers of firearms. Kellerman and his compatriots have been largely questioned and discredited over the years and the CDC has returned to a more objective and fact based attitude these days. Sad thing is that the anti gun crowd still widely uses kellerman's questionable data and regurgitates it as proven facts even though some of his own contemporaries admit that it is flawed and skewed to support an agenda. Surprise surprise.

"Questionable" is a very polite way to put it. Kellerman's studies are purely lies built to support his agenda. But anti-gunners never let a good debunking get in the way of them quoting garbage studies, even for decades. And unfortunately they are the ones that get all the press.
