The below is the toll from just Friday night/Saturday morning:

The weekend’s first shooting happened about 10:42 p.m. in the 700 block of West Scott Street on the Near North Side, police said. A 24-year-old man suffered a graze wound to the chest and arm, police said. He was treated and released from Northwestern Memorial Hospital.
In the Far South Side Roseland, a woman outside in the 10100 block of South Perry Avenue heard gunfire and realized she was shot at 12:58 a.m., police said. Bullets grazed her head and arm, but she refused medical attention.
About 1:40 a.m., a 26-year-old man was critically wounded in a shooting in the 900 block of West 19th Street, police said. He was shot multiple times in the back and was taken to John H. Stroger Jr. Hospital of Cook County.
Five minutes later, a 22-year-old man was shot while sitting in a vehicle in the 4800 block of South Seeley Avenue, police said. More than one suspect approached and began to fire shots into the vehicle, but the man escaped with only a graze wound to the head and was taken to Holy Cross Hospital in good condition.
About 2 a.m., a person was shot in the 1100 block of South Sacramento Avenue, police News Affairs Officer Ron Gaines said, though police had no immediate information on details surrounding that shooting.

its hard to get a good grip on your gun when you are sweating in the recent heat.

That's what I'm saying.....where do these thugs get their gun training? If it was me running the show I'd institute a curfew during the high shooting time frames that seems to be the AM... say Midnight to 4AM. Bring in the national guard to help enforce the curfew and give the gangsters a new definition of drive by with 240Bs mounted on Humvee.
